Short description

Win32/LockScreen.AJR is a trojan that blocks access to the Windows operating system. To regain access to the operating system the user is asked to send information/certain amount of money via WebMoney payment service. When the correct password is entered the trojan removes itself from the computer.

Installation

The trojan does not create any copies of itself.


In order to be executed on every system start, the trojan sets the following Registry entry:

  • [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\­Software\­Microsoft\­Windows\­CurrentVersion\­Run]
    • "(Default)" = "%malwarefilepath%"

Win32/LockScreen.AJR is a trojan that blocks access to the Windows operating system.


The trojan displays the following dialog box:

To regain access to the operating system the user is asked to send information/certain amount of money via WebMoney payment service.


When the correct password is entered the trojan removes itself from the computer.


The password to regain access to the operating system is one of the following:

  • 78910

The trojan executes the following command:

  • taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

The trojan blocks keyboard and mouse input.


The trojan terminates processes with any of the following strings in the name:

  • taskmgr.exe
  • msconfig.exe
