Short description

The trojan serves as a backdoor. It can be controlled remotely. The file is run-time compressed using UPX .


When executed, the trojan copies itself into the following location:

  • %system%\­iexplore.exe

In order to be executed on every system start, the trojan sets the following Registry entries:

  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\­SOFTWARE\­Microsoft\­Windows\­CurrentVersion\­Run]
    • "Configuration Loader" = "iexplore.exe"
  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\­SOFTWARE\­Microsoft\­Windows\­CurrentVersion\­RunServices]
    • "Configuration Loader" = "iexplore.exe"

The IRC protocol is used.

The following information is collected:

  • operating system version
  • CPU information
  • type of Internet connection
  • memory status

It can execute the following operations:

  • download files from a remote computer and/or the Internet
  • send files to a remote computer
  • perform DoS/DDoS attacks
  • run executable files
  • terminate running processes
  • send gathered information
